About Esther Moorehead
Memento vivere—remember to live. Where there’s life, there’s hope. That is the pulse of my work. I bring bold, visual narrative to human encounters, memorializing them like freeze-frames in the reel of history. My paintings are mirrors for introspection, entreaties to contemplate the exquisite in everyday life experiences.
I draw creative influence from the constant ebb and flow of people in urban centers; from stylized figures and forms from art of ancient civilizations; from pattern, order, and repetition in nature; and from artists like Mondrian, Rothko, Sargent, and fellow Canadian Lawren Harris.
