Refund Policy

Original Art:

Spoonbill Gallery does not offer refunds on artwork or commissions. Purchasers agree that color variations due to screen distortion, lighting, and photography may occur. No refunds or exchanges will be made due to these perceived color differences. If damage occurs during shipping to original artwork, Spoonbill Gallery insures each piece with the shipper. In the event damage has occurred during shipment, Spoonbill Gallery will either repair the damage or provide an acceptable artwork to the customer. An acceptable artwork means one of the same size that the gallery and purchaser have agreed upon. Additional time may be required to repair or complete a new artwork.

Damage to artwork during shipment must be reported to Spoonbill Gallery within 7 days of receipt of said artwork. Any claims against the shipper will be made by Spoonbill Gallery, and any resulting payouts and/or compensation will go directly to Spoonbill Gallery for the repair of the damaged piece or compensation for creating a new piece. No insurance payouts will ever be made to the purchaser of artwork.

Commissions:

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work on all custom commissions. The remaining 50% balance is due after the commission has been approved by the purchaser. In the event approval is not granted by the purchaser, the 50% deposit will not be refunded; however, the remaining 50% balance will not be required, and the customer will forfeit all rights to the artwork. The artwork will become the full property of Spoonbill Gallery and will be left to its discretion to sell, destroy, or store. The commissioner agrees that any and all rights of concepts, ideas, and reference photos giving way to the production of said artwork will be granted to Spoonbill Gallery for promotion and resale or forfeited artwork without expectation of compensation to the original commissioner.

Reproductions and Partial Reproductions:

Spoonbill Gallery does not offer refunds or exchanges on the sale of reproductions or partial reproductions. All sales are final unless an exception is made at the discretion of the gallery. A cancellation for a reproduction can be made within the first 24 hours after the sale. No cancellations will be allowed after that time.

Spoonbill Gallery is not responsible for mishandling, damage, or failed delivery for the shipment of any reproductions or partial reproductions by any carrier chosen by the gallery. If the purchaser would like additional insurance on their reproduction, they can contact Spoonbill Gallery at hello@spoonbillgallery.com.
